It is possible in some cases to achieve significant forward movement of the lower jaw up until around the age of 30. However, this would no longer be removable and would need to be attached to a fixed brace for the duration of the treatment. This may seem limiting but can be used in conjunction with a specialty brace to allow for more adaptability in the appearance and function of the fixed brace.
Our specialists are able to provide expert advise and treatment, however, circumstances such as biological timing can mean that some of the treatment will need to completed in another specialists care. Skeletal relations will sometimes need to be addressed via surgical interventions. Our team are able to refer to recommended oral surgeons. You may not wish to go this route, in which case Ipswich orthodontics will still be able to help you.
Together we will decide the best steps forwards for you and what best meets your needs.
