Depending on your desired outcome, your specialist may recommend the use of removeable braces. Such as, if you have a lack of or missing teeth, removable braces can be used to fill in spaces to give the appearance of a full smile, without directly effecting the gum. It is a great way to hold space for more permanent solutions such as implants or bridges. It is also a great way to hold and align teeth whilst not restricting what you eat or your lifestyle.
We offer different types of removeable braces:
Essix retainers (Clear Aligners)
A wireless, clear and custom made plastic tray that is worn over the entirety of the teeth. The plastic tray gently and gradually adjusts misaligned teeth into their desired positions over time.
Unlike traditional fixed braces with wires and brackets, aligners are nearly invisible, providing a discreet and comfortable alternative for correcting issues like crowding or gaps. The smooth surfaces of the trays make them easier to clean, the removability of them allows for continued care of the teeth.
The treatment will require you to wear a series of trays for a significant amount of time of the day, to ensure consistent pressure. Each tray will be worn for a specific length of time to encourage continual, gentle progressive movement of the teeth. They are only to be removed for eating, drinking, and cleaning.
Compliance and consistency is required for timely and efficient outcomes. Your specialist will provide regular check ups to track progress and make any required adjustments to the treatment plan, but the majority of the work is done by you.
While Clear Aligners are effective for many issues, some orthodontic cases may still require the use of the more traditional braces. Together, with your specialist, you will be able to discuss what would fit in with your lifestyle and provide you the best outcomes.

Hawley retainer
Which is a wired fronted removable brace made of acrylic plastic. Time spent wearing the retainer may vary based on your treatment needs and specialist recommendations, however, being able to remove them at will gives you more flexibility in choosing when to wear them. Recommended hours of wear can be completed during night time and other less sociable hours. It can be used to address issues with dental arches, jaw alignment, adjustments to deep or open bites, all whilst keeping teeth in place.
